Hydrogen Factory Halland – Laholm

Halland's heart for green hydrogen

2028/2029
3,170 tons H₂/year
68 MW wind power

About the Laholm project

In Laholm, SHG Green Invest aims for large-scale hydrogen production in one of Sweden's windiest corners. With existing wind farms right next to roads and railways – and the possibility to connect to the Swedegas natural gas network – Laholm is a key location for supplying Western Sweden, Skåne, Blekinge and Denmark with green hydrogen.

The facility is built in stages and utilizes 68 MW of available wind power on site. The project is internally called "Halland's Four-Leaf Clover" and combines hydrogen production with opportunities for energy storage (BESS), deliveries via the natural gas network and production of green derivatives such as e-ammonia for fertilizer and forest industry.

Preliminary customer is PS Energi AB – LOI signed for delivery of 700 tons H₂/year.
