Hydrogen Factory Mälardalen – Enköping

Sweden's largest hydrogen factory with 20 tons/day capacity

Full operation 2032
20 tons H₂/day
80 MW grid capacity

About the Enköping project

SHG Green Invest's flagship will be a gigantic hydrogen factory outside Enköping. With 20 tons capacity per day, this will become Sweden's largest green hydrogen facility and a spearhead for Mälardalen's green-industrial transition.

The facility is expected to be in full operation in 2032, after a five-year construction period starting in 2027. The investment of 891 MSEK is the largest single investment in SHG Green Invest's portfolio and is expected to generate an annual net profit of 179 MSEK.

Strategically located in Enköping to serve the entire Mälardalen industrial cluster, with proximity to Arlanda, Stockholm and Uppsala as well as good logistics connections.
